About Conestoga, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located within Conestoga Township in Pennsylvania’s Lancaster County, the small community of Conestoga has a population of roughly 1,300 residents. The community was named for the Conestoga Indians, which were a peaceful and now extinct tribe of Native Americans who lived near the community. Conestoga was laid out in 1797 and was originally called Conestoga Manor, and it is situated on the western side of the county along the Susquehanna River.

Conestoga is a small community, so there are only a few notable attractions located here. The Conestoga Community Pool is a great place for local youngsters to spend their summers, and history buffs also enjoy checking out the Conestoga Area Historical Society. The numerous parks and natural spaces help to make Conestoga ripe with outdoor recreational opportunities.

Nearby Lancaster is home to other attractions that might appeal to Conestoga residents and visitors. Teens often enjoy visiting Ambush Outdoor Adventure Park, which offers a huge paintball course. Dutch Wonderland is another great destination for kids, as it offers roller coasters, bumper cars, and other attractions, as is the Hands-on House Children’s Museum of Lancaster.

The climate of Conestoga is part of a humid continental climate zone, and residents will experience four distinctive seasons over a one year period. Summers are very warm and humid. July is the hottest month of the year, and average high temperatures are typically in the mid-70s. However, heat waves with temperatures in the 90s are also common. In these instances, having a reliable home cooling system is crucial in order to make it through the hot and dangerous days. Likewise, winters are cold and snowy, so homeowners are smart to invest in a high-quality furnace or other heating system. Regular maintenance is also essential in order to ensure that the system is in optimal running condition by the time the harsh weather arrives.
