About Millersville, PA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Millersville, Pennsylvania is a Lancaster County borough with approximately 8,300 residents. The community consists of two square miles of total area, and it is located only five miles southwest of Lancaster. The community originally consisted of farmland and was named after former owner John Miller. In 1854, the first teacher’s academy was established here, and it was later chartered as the state normal school. Today, the school is known as Millersville University.

There are several attractions and areas of interest located in Millersville. The Point of View Cinema is located in West Frederick Street, and the Millersville VFW Post 7294 is a great location for special events. The Farm at Eagles Ridge is another great wedding venue, and it is located just outside of the community in the outskirts of Lancaster.

Millersville is also home to the Millersville Community Parade, which began in 1997. Since then, the parade has become one of the largest parades in the county. Each year, the parade takes on a specific theme, and in 2014 the theme is “Wonders of the Sea.” The parade features bands, animals, and community organizations, and vendors are situated along the parade route to sell food and other items.

Summers in Millersville are typically quite muggy and warm, and average temperatures can easily reach the 80s. A reliable air conditioner or home cooling system is needed to keep Millersville residents safe and comfortable during these months, as the heat can be especially dangerous to the elderly and young children. Winters in the area are snowy and cold, so a reliable heat pump or furnace is needed during these months. It is recommended that Millersville residents use the calmer spring and autumn months to give their home’s heating and cooling systems a checkup to make sure that they are prepared for the upcoming harsh weather.
